1967 Shelby Mustang

Finally…. my shelby is done~~! =D For my own personal practice, taken quite awhile doing all the modeling/texturing and rendering during and after work.

With some helpful comments from my colleagues, more or less im quite please with the overall result.  Now i will have a new subject to play with for test render next time round lol.
p.s. Here u go Sacha, a yellow shelby ;)

Hope everyone enjoys looking at those renders.

Shopping for magazines

3 magazines

Visited Kinokuniya again to grab both outdated and current issues of 3dartist. I can never miss a copy with kino, they have a mountain load of it. i like that. =)

Drop by Basheer earlier this afternoon, intending to pick up a copy of 3dartist but is sold out. Darn. What i saw next outside the shelves is the outcast, stacking in a pile of the march copy of Computer Arts Special featuring “The art of videogames” selling at 10 bucks! It is very tempting… i bought it. >:D It is totally a visual treat. Got to find time to digest all the awesome pictures and knowledge from it. Surprisingly I actually learned quite alot from those magazines. ^^

Dragon head sculpt

Dragon head

Yesterday, Davin encouraged me to sculpt a dragon in zbrush. It has never came across my mind to sculpt a dragon. So i decided to give it a try, focusing on the head for a start. Based on one reference picture i found on the net, managed to complete it roughly around 6-7 hours. It’s really tiring but fulfilling, lol when i tried to complete it as soon as possible after work.

Not too bad for a start. xD i might try a full dragon next time. Spotted some mistakes/pointers here and there to take note of, thanks to the feedback given by my colleagues and DVE 12 for making it happen.

A great weekend

Just met up with Tyson and other frds on the sat & sun to the toys convention. Eat, walk, shop, buy. Get to catch up with my classmate too. So glad, it has been awhile since i last met her. =) Time flies.

For whatever reasons, im feeling pretty out of place but still manage to drag my ass down to Kinokuniya at Orchard. Lurking around aimlessly hoping for some miracle to happen but it didnt… so in return, spotted the 3rd issue of “3DArtist” mag(outdated issue) sitting so lonely together other piles of mags and “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell, shining like a beacon to me…. (grab me! grab me!) Jeremy, a frd of mine, told me something about the “10,000 hrs” from this book that stirs me up. Bought both and hopefully it will enlighten me in some ways.

Oh well… have so many things to catch up reading with. My head are still filled with things stuck it in. Just telling myself eventually the answer will come.

Milestone?

Thanks to everyone who has come across my life, to share with me a little part of their lives. For every smile i received, for every care i hold, it has makes me wiser and knowledgeable then before.

With every new found wisdom and knowledge, i will seek down the path im walking now. Doesn’t matter how slow it takes, for there may already have multiple hidden paths await me, to be craft.

All we are. =)

Song of Memories

Who i am? Hmm.. i have been always thinking abt my life after i ORD from the army. What am i supposed to do? How will my future be? What shld i be working as? How shld i live my life?

What is life actually all abt…? Shld i just get a gf like everyone else? Shld i try to work overseas? Shld i try stocks and shares? Shld i save monies to buy all the policies to protect myself? Shld i try network marketing just to earn monies? Shld i choose to work just to earn monies to survive? Shld i be true myself? Shld i live the way i wanted to? Tons of questions and more questions begin to surface before my mind.

And somehow it begans to dawn  on me. i love to learn & share. Everything. My life experiences and everything that i could lay my hands on. But i feel, sharing everything actually do means nothing without love, without passion.

To the very least, im not bother by the fact that life itself will unfold as i live through it. I guess that all it matters now. They will lead me to something. I realised the more that i try, the more, life will open up to me. I think life is something we shld be living in it to feel what is it all abt and not to be afraid to be alive. Nothing could be worse than to realise u have never really lived and u have never ever tried.

I guess everyone do have a song or two that will bring back fond memories. Here is one of those songs from me. I dedicate this to Tyson and everyone who loves life.

Everything by MISIA.

Render in Marmoset Engine

Thanks to Victor for sharing with me the Marmoset Engine. I tested it with my just-created-wall. The result was pretty awesome. :) It is only limited to just screenshots capture, no turntable/wiremesh options at the moment.

There’s a thread at Polycount forum, for those who are interested to test out the game engine render.

3d Lowpoly Environment

It has been awhile since i last update lol. Recently just completed a mini low poly environment to test out texturing and zbrush techniques. It really has been very fun and interesting. The shader i used is the real-time shader and so finding a few nice angles to take some shots. Hope u like it. =) C&C are welcome.

Natalie Okri in Britian’s Got Talent

What can i say… Natalie Okri, the cute little 10 years old girl who gives a stunning performance in Britian’s Got Talent. I came across her article over at Mail Online, that really gets my attention. She sings Alicia Keys – No One, so beautifully that i have to search for it in YouTube to hear the original version.

Natalie has really stun me, the feeling is simply awesome when she starts singing. She’s so adorable and her love for singing is simply contagious. (yea.. i sang along.. on Alicia Keys MV) Check out the smiles on the judge faces, especially Simon’s, lovely =) Definitely have to watch it to believe it.
Good luck, gal~ =)

PBS airs The Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance on Youtube

Yeah, cool news! PBS have its own channel in Youtube. (Only till now then i know…) PBS stands for Public Broadcasting Service. They have lots of very interesting channels around.

The show about The Medici is definitely an interesting read about history. It’s set in Florence,  Italy. I like documentary as well as history’s mystery, and yes… somehow i was glued to the show for 2 hours. xD

Oh, by the way there’s also an very interesting documentary on the Secret of the Lost Empire, It also covers about the China Bridge. I didnt know about that till now. lol but its not too late~
